The Division Resurgence: Every Specialization Ranked Best to Worst (April 2026)

# The Division Resurgence Specialization Tier List: All Classes Ranked

*The Division Resurgence* dials back the class complexity found in the PC and console versions, giving us four distinct Specializations at launch. Ubisoft simplified things for mobile, sure, but after spending time with each class, the power gap between them is pretty obvious.

Note: I’m still putting the Tech class through its paces—I’ll add it here once I’ve given it a proper run.

## How This Tier List Works

Four Specializations isn’t a lot to work with, so I’m not going to fake a full A-through-D ranking. Instead, I’ve split them into two tiers that actually make sense.

| Tier | Description |
|——|————-|
| **S** | The cream of the crop. These classes perform well in pretty much any situation, with versatile skills that consistently deliver. |
| **A** | Strong picks with obvious strengths, but they need the right situation or team composition to really shine. |

## S-Tier: The Best of the Best

### Vanguard
**Why it shines:** In my experience, Vanguard is the most well-rounded Specialization in *Resurgence* right now. What I love about it is how it buffs your own weapon damage while boosting your entire squad’s output at the same time. Whether I’m running solo or grouped up, it never feels like a dead pick.

**Key abilities:**
– **Cover Creation:** Generate protective cover that reduces incoming damage.
– **Scanning Pulse:** Reveal enemy positions in the surrounding area.

If you want flexibility and team utility without sacrificing personal firepower, Vanguard is the easy pick.

### Demolitionist
**Why it shines:** When it comes to crowd control and area denial, nothing else comes close. I’ve found this class incredibly effective at flushing enemies out of cover and dealing with those annoying grouped-up threats.

**Key abilities:**
– **Explosive Seeker Mine:** Hunts down targets and detonates on contact.
– **Artillery Turret:** Lays down suppressive explosive fire.
– **Grenade Launcher (Signature):** Your panic button when enemies swarm your position.

For players who love big explosions and controlling the battlefield, Demolitionist absolutely delivers.

## A-Tier: Strong but Situational

### Bulwark
**Why it works:** The Bulwark is *Resurgence’s* dedicated tank, plain and simple. If staying alive is your top priority, this is your class. The reflect shield punishes enemies for shooting at you, and the Shockwave Spike stuns anyone dumb enough to get close.

**Key abilities:**
– **Reflective Shield:** Sends incoming damage back at attackers.
– **Shockwave Spike:** Paralyzes nearby enemies.
– **Full Shield Signature:** Deploys a complete barrier paired with an auto-shotgun for close-quarters devastation.

Here’s the catch, though—you’re relying on enemies coming to you. In mobile encounters or when you need to push aggressively, Bulwark can feel a bit sluggish.

### Field Medic
**Why it works:** Here’s the thing: in a coordinated squad, the Field Medic easily jumps to S-tier. Keeping teammates alive through tough content is its whole identity. But if you’re playing solo, that healing utility loses a lot of its value.

**Key abilities:**
– **Squad Healing:** Restore health to nearby allies.
– **Support Utility:** Mitigate incoming damage for your team.

The trade-off is raw damage. You’re not built to melt enemies quickly, and honestly, solo players might find the kit a bit underwhelming compared to the other options.

## Summary

| Specialization | Tier | Best For |
|—————-|——|———-|
| Vanguard | S | All-around play, squad damage buffs |
| Demolitionist | S | Crowd control, explosive chaos |
| Bulwark | A | Tanking, survivability, close-range defense |
| Field Medic | A | Team support, healing (situational solo) |

The current meta definitely favors aggression and versatility, which is why Vanguard and Demolitionist are ahead of the pack. That said, a well-played Bulwark or Field Medic can still carry a team—just don’t expect the same flexibility when you’re on your own.
